River levels are rising rapidly on the River Crimple, River Nidd due to heavy rainfall. Areas most at risk include land around the River Crimple and its tributaries, including Horn Beck, Clark Beck, Hookstone Beck, Rud Beck, Toad Hole Beck and Park Beck. Flooding is possible from 11:30am on Wednesday 27/12/2023. Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
